  • Where is The Portrait Artist located?
Our studio is located at 208 N Holden St, Warrensburg , MO, We are located right in the heart of downtown Warrensburg.
  • How long is the session time?
We do not have a specific duration set up for our sessions. Some people need more time to warm up in front of the camera than some people. So no rush, please relax! Though, usually, our sessions last from 1- 2 hours.
  • How much is the session fee?
We charge $400 for our session not including prints. Your session fee must be paid at when you book your session. It is not refundable, and due to a high influx of bookings we would not be able to reschedule without repayment. Please refer to our "Get Pricing" page for more detailed information.
  • Can I reschedule my session?
We completely understand that life can throw unexpected challenges your way, and we will do our best to accommodate a new date for your session if availability allows. However, please note that when you book with us, we reserve the entire day for your session. Last-minute cancellations leave us unable to recover that time, so the session fee is retained as a non-refundable deposit to cover the loss of business. To avoid this, we kindly ask that you book your session only when you’re confident you can commit to the scheduled date. We appreciate your understanding!
  • Do you have outdoor sessions?
Even though we strongly recommend our clients to have their sessions in our studio for multiple reasons, yes, outdoor sessions are still available. Please let us know during the initial consultation to find out the best location for your session.
  • I want to have a session, but I have to loose a weight first...
I long for the day when women are comfortable in their skin at all stages, for the day when women embrace their wobbly bits and beautiful side creases. That said, I know women well enough to be realistic and understand that many women struggle with self-love. No matter how much I tell them they are beautiful, they wish they would have lost just a few more pounds before their session. If that is you, I can assure you that this ain't my first rodeo. The majority of the women that come in to see me are working on loving themselves yet struggling. They disapprove of the size of their thighs, their belly pooch, and their dimples. I take women's feelings very seriously and never want to make anyone uncomfortable. While this is a body-positive studio, I will also light and pose you in the most flattering way possible while capturing you from the best possible angles. I've spent the last years photographing all kinds of women, extraordinary in their own way. I've learned all the tricks to ensuring that I feature the attributes that women most love about themselves while paying special care to downplay areas of concern. While I'm going to make it my very best effort to change your mind on what you consider your "flaws," I don't expect every woman to be ready for that yet.
